Meteorite

Meteorite features a distinct crystalline structure on its surface, a pattern found only in diamonds and gemstones. This visible crystal structure, or Widmanstätten pattern, was caused by extremely slow cooling of the material in space.

The Widmanstätten pattern will vary slightly between pieces, as will the presence of inclusions. Inclusions are dark spots or tiny holes on the surface of the meteorite that are often traces of metals that, in some cases, do not occur naturally on earth. These inclusions are an important clue to the meteorite’s origin and are identifiers of its authenticity.

14K White Gold:

White gold is the perfect alternative for those who want the luxury of gold with a cool silver tone. If you find the cost of platinum too expensive, white gold gives you the same look for much less per ounce. Very soft metal and can be scratched easily.

Sizing:

We do not recommend the use of online printable ring sizers. We recommend being sized by a jeweler. Our rings are comfort-fit, and we measure our rings from the center of the ring and not the leading edge. It is extremely important that you know your ring size before ordering.

*Please note: If you are not used to wearing a ring, then it is likely everything will feel too tight to start. Keep in mind that after a few weeks of wearing it you won't even know it is there.

Many people make the mistake of thinking that the ring should easily slip over the knuckle so sizing a ring to simply slip over the knuckle will cause it to be too loose. If it is too loose, it could possibly catch on something or even fall off and get lost.

Other considerations: Keep temperature in mind. Fingers can fluctuate throughout the year, swelling during the hot and humid summer and shrinking during the cold and dry winter. If your fingers are slightly swollen or cold, make sure you bring your hands to room temperature before trying on the sizers.

Take diet into account. Alcohol consumption and salt intake can also cause temporary fluctuations in fingers. Many people will even notice a difference in the way their rings fit after eating a particularly salty meal.

Consider the width of the band. Very wide rings can be less comfortable to wear because they take up more space on the finger. The ring size is the same, but it feels tighter because the ring is wider.

If your ring does not fit, you must contact us as quickly as possible. Our rings are not resizable, so it is important that you let us know as soon as you get them. We must be notified within 60 days of receiving your ring in order for us to replace it at a discounted rate.
Please take photos of damaged items upon arrival.

Care:

Regardless of the metal/materials used in the ring, all rings should be treated as fine jewelry and should be removed during harsh activities to avoid scratching. We recommended avoiding prolonged exposure to water and chemicals. All rings can be cleaned with regular jewelry cleaner.

Meteorite Care:

Despite its natural protection against rust, Gibeon meteorite is primarily composed of iron, so oxidation is always a possibility. Exposure to strong oxidizing agents such as chlorine, bleach, or salt can increase the chance of rusting. These chemicals, found in strong household cleaners, pools, hot tubs, and salt water, should be avoided.
