Star Map Accuracy
Our Star Map design tool generates the sky from your exact location, date, and time using real astronomical coordinates and time-based calculations, not a generic template. It adjusts for where you are on Earth, the local time at that location, and how the sky rotates, so the stars shown are the ones that would have been above your horizon at that moment. So, for real-world viewing and memory keepsakes, it will closely match trusted sky tools.
Your map is calculated from:
- Real star-catalog coordinates,
- Your selected location/date/time,
- Location-based timezone handling,
- Sky-position math (what is above the horizon for that moment),
- Precession and atmospheric adjustments.
Optional overlays like constellations, Milky Way, and moon phase are then placed to match that same sky context, giving you a personalized artwork that is both meaningful and scientifically grounded.
Main limits are that it’s still an art-focused renderer, not a full observatory simulator.
