How long can the audio file be?

The answer to this question depends on whether you will be adding our app feature to make your art playable or purchasing an NFC enabled product.

Playable Art

Up to 3 minutes of playback (audio or video)

If you want to make your art playable, then the answer is 3 minutes. This is the max limit for our Soundwave Art™ app, so your recording should be 3 minutes or less.

Shop playable art (look for our app icon if you want to add our playback feature)

No time limit

If you do not want to add our app feature, or you are ordering a product that is not playable (rings) then your recording can be as long as you'd like.

Up to 5 minutes of playback (audio only)

Our Walnut Soundwave Art block is embedded with an NFC chip so you can tap a compatible smartphone to the chip to listen to the audio.
Our Soundwave Pendants themselves are not playable, but we do include a playable charm that has an NFC chip embedded to make it playable.
