Save Digital Download on Mobile

How to locate your artwork after you click download from your mobile device. Phone manufacturers are always updating their software so the way they download images may change.

Android: When you download an image from a website on an Android phone using a download button, it's typically saved in the Downloads folder within your phone's internal memory or SD card, depending on your phone's settings. You can access this folder through the "My Files" or "Files" app, or a similar file manager app on your phone.

  • Default Download Location: Most Android phones will save downloaded files, including images, to a default location, which is usually the internal storage's Downloads folder.
  • File Manger Apps: To find the downloaded image, you'll need to use your phone's built-in file manager app or a third-party file manager app.
  • Gallery App: Some phones might also display downloaded images directly in the Gallery app's Downloads folder, or a similar section.
  • Other Browsers: Some browsers may have different download locations, such as internal storage/ucdownloads for UC Browser.

iPhone: When you download a photo from a website on your iPhone using a download button, the image is typically saved in the Files app in the Downloads folder. You can then access it there, and if you want, share it to your photos app or other apps.
Here's how to find the downloaded image:
  • Open the Files app: Locate the blue Files app icon on your Home Screen (or search for it if it's not there).
  • Navigate to Downloads: Tap the "Browse" tab, then tap "iCloud Drive" and finally "Downloads".
  • Find your image: You should see your downloaded image in the Downloads folder.

Google Pixel: When you download a photo from a website on a Google Pixel, it's typically saved to the "Downloads" folder on your device's internal storage. You can access this folder through the device's file management app (like "Files" on Pixel devices).
  • Download Initiation: When you click a download button on a website, your browser initiates a request to the server where the image is hosted.
  • Data Transfer: The server sends the image data to your Pixel.
  • Storage: Once the download is complete, the image is saved within the "Downloads" folder on your phone's internal storage.
  • Accessing the Image: You can then access the image by navigating to the "Downloads" folder in your device's file manager app.

Windows Phone: When downloading an image from a website on a Windows Phone, it's typically saved to the Pictures folder in the phone's internal storage. The specific location within that folder may vary depending on the application used to download the image.

  • Default Location: The default location for saved images is often the Pictures folder.
  • App Specific: The exact subfolder within the Pictures folder might depend on the application you use to download the image (e.g., a browser, a dedicated image downloader app).
  • File Explorer: You can find these downloaded images by using the file explorer on your Windows Phone to navigate to the Pictures folder.
